CHARACTERISTICS from Yas Marina Circuit
Yas Marina provides the sport's first day-to-night race on a lavish, no-expense-spared facility, costing $1 billion to build according to some estimates. Overtaking is extremely difficult, making for processional races. With over 20 corners to each lap, some appearing to be very challenging, the circuit will be quite stop-start and holds many similarities with Valencia and Melbourne. Downforce will generally be on the higher side for drivers, but not at maximum because of the few long straights where speed is important.
